Meet The Pets!
Neurotic terrier Max lives the most pampered life imaginable. He's got a supportive brother in Duke, a loving owner in Katie and two new members of the family - Katie's husband, Chuck and their adorable baby boy, Liam.
Duke is a massive mutt and Max's adopted brother. The enthusiastic answer to the question "Who's a good boy," Duke actually enjoys the farm and takes a far more relaxed approach toward Liam, but he's still there for Max in his time of need ... even if he does think Rooster is really cool.
Snowball, the cute-yet-crazy bunny who once led a group of abandoned street pets, now finds himself domesticated and dressed in flashy superhero pajamas, as he has become the focus of his young owner's newfound superhero obsession.
Rooster is an intimidating, no-nonsense farm dog who doesn't suffer fools, especially when he sees Max being over-protective and projecting his fears on to Liam. Rooster's attitude and actions show Max what it truly means to watch over one's flock.
Daisy is an adorable Shih Tzu with an enormous personality who isn't afraid to speak her mind-even if it gets her (and everyone around her) into a world of trouble.
Gidget is a well-groomed but gutsy Pomeranian. When she accidentally knocks Max's favorite toy off the balcony into a cat lady's apartment she has to learn from Chloe how to become a cat in order to infiltrate the cat's lair and get it back.
Chloe's no-can-do attitude and insatiable appetite are only compounded by her love of catnip. When Gidget asks for Chloe's help retrieving Max's favorite toy from an apartment overrun by cats, Chloe reluctantly teaches her sheltered canine friend how to fit in and hold her own amongst the crazed felines.
Mel is an excitable Pug who struggles to stay focused when he's recruited by Max to be a part of Liam's security detail. Even when he's supposed to be helping Snowball save Hu, he's got his own ulterior mission: snacks.
Norman the guinea pig is the most enthusiastic of the security team Max puts together to guard Liam. Unfortunately, Norman is the last Pet who should be in charge of any type of ‘intelligence.’
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will follow summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy will produce the sequel to the comedy that had the best opening ever for an original film, animated or otherwise.
